Sadly bad wiring has caused many deaths and injuries. Government statistics state that every year there are 5 deaths and over 500 injuries caused by faulty wiring in the home, as well as 12,500 fires caused by electrical faults.

 

 

The condition of your electrical wiring system can be established by engaging us to do an electrical test and inspection for you. Our service provides a condition report on your wiring system, with recommendations (if any) for improvements to bring your system up to the safety requirements of the Electrical Regulations (BS7671)

 

Also, under the Electrical Regulations (BS 7671) 17th edition, there is a requirement for an inspection and test of your domestic electrical system every 10 years, upon change of ownership or change of use.

 

In addition there is a requirement under the Building Regulations 2000 (Part P) that electrical work in special locations e.g. kitchen, bathroom or work external to the house, must be notified to your Local Authority's Building Controls Department to ensure them that all works have been done to a correct standard. Such notifications would also require a full or part inspection and test, which we are happy to offer

 

In addition to the inspection you will receive a written condition report of your electrical systems with recommendations, if any, for improvements to bring your system up to the requirements under the BS 7671 17th Edition.
